Kaiser Permanente

This project involved the design and construction of new bulk oxygen and bulk nitrogen systems for the new Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Oakland, California.

The pad has been cast and following new equipment is slated to be installed in October/November of 2012:

Oxygen System

  • Chart HS-11000 Horizontal Main Tank
  • Chart HS-1500 Reserve Tank
  • Cryoquip VAI 824-FB Vaporizers (3)
  • ACME Vaporizer Switching Manifold
  • ACME Hospital Control Manifold
  • ACME Fill Assembly Nitrogen System

Nitrogen System

  • Chart VS-900 Vertical Main Tank w/ Vaporizer
  • ACME 12-Cylinder Gas Reserve Manifold
  • ACME Hospital Control Manifold
  • ACME Fill Assembly

Finn Design Group prepared the Structural Construction Documents, including the concrete pad and equipment anchorages, and the Structural Calculations.

Finn Design Group also prepared the Mechanical Construction Documents and the Equipment Special Seismic Certifications. Finn Design Group closely coordinated the project with the Hospital Architect and Structural Engineer-Of- Record.
